Forex Pip Value Calculator

Find what one pip is worth for any pair and lot size, in your account currency.

Forex pip calculator

A pip is the fourth decimal on most pairs (0.0001) and the second decimal on JPY pairs (0.01); for gold most brokers treat $0.10 as one pip. Pip value = pip size × lot size in units, expressed in the quote currency, then converted to your account currency.

If your account currency differs from the pair's quote currency, enter the current quote-currency / account-currency rate (e.g. for a JPY pair on a USD account, enter USD/JPY ≈ 150 → 1/150). Defaults assume a USD account. Get rates from live prices.

Pip value formula

Pip value = (pip size ÷ exchange rate) × lot size when the account currency is the base currency, or simply pip size × lot size when the account currency is the quote currency. For a standard lot of EUR/USD on a USD account: 0.0001 × 100,000 = $10 per pip. For USD/JPY on a USD account at 150.00: 0.01 × 100,000 ÷ 150 = $6.67 per pip.
